Founded in Brighton, twofolde is a collaboration between artists Andy Froud (b.1996) and Ben Sumpter (b.1996). Both artists graduated from Fashion Design & Textile pathways, from the University of Brighton and Central Saint Martins, London, respectively.

Following careers in the fashion industry, both artists shifted their practice towards traditional and hand-crafted processes. Drawing influence from the sketchbooks and motifs of Amanda Sumpter - Ben Sumpter's mother, who works in stone carving, painting and drawing - abstract shapes and domestic motifs are a crucial part of their tufted and collaged textile works. Exploring . the relationship between objects and space, with sustainability at the core of their ethos, twofolde make all their works using deadstock wool, yarn and linen.
